Tropical Fruits celebrates 50 years of Stonewall with PRIDE

Tropical Fruits PRIDE by John BortolinThis June Queen’s Birthday long weekend, the diverse family that is Tropical Fruits will be donning all things Rainbow and will lead you deep into a magical world of shimmering colour to celebrate 31 proud years of community building and party magic…

It’s Tropical Fruits’ birthday… and the birthday of all our Queens… so they are celebrating with their first PRIDE party… one where they will celebrate how far the community has come since the Stonewall Uprising in 1969… 50 years and still strong! Pride is a singular celebration with a million faces – individuals, families, allies, lovers, leaders, and friends.

Set in the misty hinterland of Byron Bay, the warm glow of the Eltham Hotel will draw you into a world of sparkling colour and movement where all the arms of the Tropical Fruits family will converge as one.

The evening’s entertainment will be sure to bring out the exhibitionist in us all! The night will start off with a new face to Fruits – DJ Sammy from the Gold Coast, from 8.00 -11.00pm, he will set the scene for a much loved Kylie Rose, returning with her delicious beats to delight us all through to 2.00am.

As tradition joyfully demands, the Fruits’ Birthday Party would not be complete without the sparkle of royalty with internationally acclaimed showgirl, Christy McNicol and a surprise new local act, Electra. So come one and all to PRIDE, where we can be one big, colourful, inclusive and above all proud family.
