Celebrate the end of the weird queer year that’s been with Queerstories: Chosen Family Xmas Have a family photo on an unconventional Santa’s knee, get your stocking stuffed* and enjoy an unexpected tale or two from some of Australia’s finest LGBTQI+ storytellers.
Presented by Maeve Marsden, this logical (not biological) family holiday celebration features stories by Quinn Eades, Fiona McGregor, Krissy Kneen, Vanessa Lee and more to be announced. Performances will be Auslan interpreted.
Queerstories is an LGBTQI+ storytelling night and podcast hosted and programmed by Maeve Marsden, as well as a collection of stories published by Hachette Australia. Featuring a diverse line up of stars and strangers, Queerstories grew out of a desire to hear the stories LGBTQI+ people want to tell.
Winner Best Spoken Word at Sydney Fringe 2016, Queerstories books out every month at its regular home at Giant Dwarf in Sydney’s Redfern, every other month at Howler in Melbourne, twice a year at the Brisbane Powerhouse and at one off events around the country.
