GLOBE Melbourne have announced the finalists for the GLOBE Community Awards with less than three weeks until the gala event at the Myer Mural Hall on Friday 17 October. Community groups, politicians, journalists and even an AFL footballer have made the list of 31 finalists across ten categories.
GLOBE President David Micallef is elated with the list of finalists: “Seeing the calibre of the finalists is just amazing. We couldn’t have asked for a better list of candidates for our inaugural Community Awards,” says David.
“To see our community standing up to be recognized, along with community groups, businesses, politicians, journalists and even an AFL footballer, it is a great feeling. It just shows how amazing our community is and I’m glad we are here to help recognise them.”
