Feast Festival Poster Design Competition

Feast Festival Poster CompAre you a budding artist? An aspiring graphic designer? Or part of a community arts group? Then Feast would like to invite you to enter our 2016 Festival Poster Competition. The winning entrant will have their artwork incorporated into a poster for Feast Festival 2016.

“Feast wants to increase its engagement with the community in 2016, and the poster competition, sponsored by Feast partner, SAMESH, is a great and fun way to do that,” said Cassandra Liebeknecht, Feast General Manager.

There are three different themes to choose from and each one will be interpreted differently by the artists: Express Yourself, Fight For Your Rights, and Celebrate Love. This gives artists a broader scope to work with, so their imaginations can run wild.

“The poster design creates the overall visual of the Festival, that’s why we have opened it up to the community so they can assist in making this important decision,” said Cassandra.

The winner will be awarded to the individual whose poster portrays an innovative approach to the Festival theme and complies with the entry requirements. The winner of this competition will receive a cash prize of $8000 provided by Feast partner SAMESH and an opportunity to have paid work with Feast Festival on other marketing and promotional material throughout the year. The Runner up will receive a $300 cash prize.

Judging will be undertaken by a Panel including the Feast Festival Principal Partner, Arts South Australia Executive Director, Feast Festival Chair of the Board, Feast Festival General Manager, Feast Festival 2016 Artistic Ambassador and Feast Festival Patron.

The winner will be announced in July at an exhibition displaying all entries of the competition – details to be released in the upcoming months. Entries must be received by 5.00pm on Friday 24 June 2016.

Feast Festival 2016 will be held from 21 October – 6 November. For more information (including a list of entry requirements), visit: www.feast.org.au for details.
