Brisbane Pride Fair Day 2015

APN Brisbane Pride Fairday 2014 Rainbow StoreBrisbane Pride Fair Day returns to New Farm Park this Saturday (19 September) and is shaping up to be bigger and better than last year. The day will kick off with the traditional Pride Rally and March down Brunswick Street to the rainbow flowering arches of New Farm Park – where gates will open from 10:30 am.

First held in 199o, the Brisbane Pride Rally and March was a call for justice and equality for the burgeoning gay and lesbian community in Brisbane. As various battles for equality have been won, the events have transitioned from a purely political event to an inclusive and joyous family-friendly event that attracts thousands or people each year.

The Brisbane Pride Fair Day is your chance to come and celebrate your commUNITY.  An incredible selection of food stalls and an array of market and community stalls will be on offer to delight, entertain and inform you. The main and community stage will feature local and national talent including the Mr Pride competition, Brisbane’s best DJs and the traditional Pet Parade.

Hosted by Em Rusciano and Martini Ice, entertainment includes Kristy Apps and the Shotgun Shirleys, Rawr Vanity, Chocolate Strings, Being Jane Lane, Youthfire, Bertie Paige Clinic, and Queen’s Ball DJ of the Year, DJ Arsee… plus more!

Then as the day comes to an end, the Brunswick Hotel sets the scene for the Pride Fair Day After Party. Hosted by Abril Latrene, entertainment includes DJ Sammy Superstar and DJ Arsee from 4.00pm. A courtesy bus runs from New Farm Park to the Hotel between 4.00pm – 6.00pm.
