Imagine switching on a tape recorder and leaving it on for the next 10 years, documenting every inane conversation you’ve ever had with a close group of friends. That’s exactly what Natalie Rose, Mish Grigor and Zoë Coombs Marr did – and they’re ready to share it all with you.
In this colossal act of self-examination, these three women go back through 10 years of recorded personal conversations to unearth the embarrassing, the inexplicable, and the profound. A single conversation spanning a decade of friendship, Ich Nibber Dibber maps the lives of three women coming of age in the 21st Century.
From first loves and birthing moans to tongue piercing and explaining the global financial crisis, Ich Nibber Dibber presents a moving study of personal growth and a revelatory look at what it means to be a woman, and the way we make sense of the world through conversation.
post is three of Australia’s most hilarious performance makers: Zoë Coombs Marr, Mish Grigor and Natalie Rose. Their work is fiercely intelligent, gleefully entertaining, and shamelessly political. Straddling live art, theatre and contemporary performance, they could be described as ‘hybrid’, but prefer ‘genre-queer’.
Carrying a deep irreverence for the institution of theatre and a deep reverence for the moment of live performance it houses, post‘s work has amused, bemused and probably annoyed audiences around the country for the last decade.
post are concerned with the truly absurd: drag, imposters, impressions, bad acting, boy genii, The Biggest Loser, birth, death, auditions, shamans, epitaphs, avatars, and the recurring nightmare of public speaking (sans trousers). They go where we’ve all been, but in entirely unexpected ways.
“There’s a thrill not just of eavesdropping, but of hearing something so frank and uncensored you know it must be utterly real.” – Daily Review
