The Australian Pride Network (APN) exists to promote Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex (LGBTI) Pride on a national level, encouraging diverse communities in Australia to hold and attend pride events, whilst increasing promotional and networking opportunities among Australian pride organisations.
The mission of the Australian Pride Network is to increase awareness of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex (LGBTI) Pride organisations around Australia and to affect positive change through information sharing, collaboration and outreach.
The Australian Pride Network website’s primarily goal is to keep the LGBTIQ+ Community informed by maintaining a comprehensive listing of LGBTIQ+ Festival & Events across Australia. We also list Festival & Events that have significant LGBTIQ+ content.
In addition, the website also features arts and cultural events, sport and recreation, travel and tourism, community activities and selected news items.
Demographics:
Each month, Australian Arts Review reaches more than 24,000 visitors to the website – of this 61.10%% are female and 38.90% are male.
Age range: 18 – 24 (24.40%); 25 – 34 (30.66%); 35 – 44 (17.94%); 45 – 54 (13.72%); 55 – 64 (8.24%), and 65+ (5.03%).
Location: New South Wales (29.07%); Victoria (28%); Queensland (20.25%); Western Australia (10.88%); South Australia (6.88%); Australian Capital Territory (2.54%); Tasmania (2.35%); and Northern Territory (0.43%).
The Australian Pride Network website has been optimised to be viewed on smartphones and tablets and is supported by a dedicated Facebook page with more than 6230 followers & 4900 likes. Statistics are as of 1 August 2023.
Opportunities:
As an independent online publication, the Australian Pride Network receives no government funding and relies on advertising revenue (and goodwill) to maintain its presence in Australia’s LGBTIQ+ Community.
