The irrepressible and multi-award-winning comedian and cabaret superstar, Reuben Kaye, is set to electrify the Melbourne Recital Centre with his acclaimed show enGORGEd on 28 & 29 November 2025.
With Musical Direction and Arrangements by Shanon D Whitelock and backed by an 18-piece orchestra, enGORGEd is Kaye’s boldest and most spectacular production yet – a high-octane fusion of razor-sharp comedy, explosive cabaret and unrelenting spectacle.
Audiences can expect biting wit, dazzling glamour and political punch in a no-holds-barred performance that pushes boundaries and redefines cabaret for a new era. Kaye is quite simply, a Swarovski-studded force of nature.
It’s been a busy time for Kaye, with sold-out festival runs, three consecutive years captivating Sydney Opera House audiences in Opera Up Late, and a national tour of Jesus Christ Superstar, where his acclaimed turn as King Herod drew rave reviews.
Known for being unapologetically loud, politically charged and fabulously queer, Kaye has taken the world by storm. His viral performances have amassed millions of views, while his television appearances include Spicks and Specks (ABC), the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Galas (ABC), Celebrity Letters and Numbers (SBS), The Apprentice: You’re Fired with Tom Allen (BBC) and Kids React to Drag (Channel 4).
