APN Melbourne at NightSet along the picturesque banks of the Yarra River, Melbourne is the capital city of Victoria and Australia’s second-largest city. It is considered one of Australia’s most artistic, fashionable and elegant destinations known for its trams, tree-lined boulevards, boutique hotels, great bars and restaurants.

Melbourne’s LGBTI population is demographically diverse – enjoying a massive array of attractions specifically for our community, from cafes and galleries to clubs, pubs and restaurants.

Each January, the Midsumma Festival is Melbourne’s biggest celebration of GLBTIQ arts and culture. Held over three weeks in many venues across Melbourne and greater Victoria, Midsumma opens with Carnival, the largest single event of the festival

The first Sunday in February sees the annual Pride March take over the streets of St. Kilda. This theme of celebration continues in March with the Melbourne Queer Film Festival (MQFF).

In regional Victoria, the ChillOut Festival held in early March is dedicated to celebrating gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and queer pride within a unique environment of Daylesford, and set amongst the hills of North East Victoria, the Spring Migration Festival is held in Yackandandah in September.
