Melbourne Rovers, in partnership with Pride Football Australia (PFA), will host a full day of LGBTQIA+ soccer on Saturday 11 October 2025 at the Home of the Matildas, Bundoora.
The day will feature three 90-minute matches, bringing together clubs from across Australia to compete, celebrate, and connect in a supportive and inclusive environment including:
- Josh Cavallo Shield: PFA Elite v Sydney
- Julie Murray Cup: Flying Bats v Northside
- Justin Fashanu Cup: Melbourne Rovers v Rangers
In addition to the football, attendees can enjoy food, a bar, and community partners, providing a space for organisations and supporters to engage with players and the public.
“PFA is about more than sport – it’s a celebration of diversity, community, and visibility. Saturday’s match day gives everyone the chance to see the LGBTQIA+ community shine on the pitch and meet the community behind the sport,” said Stuart Bonner, Head of Partnerships at Melbourne Rovers.
The event is open to the public, with opportunities to connect with clubs and community organisations throughout the day.
