A wild, dark celebration of bodies and beings, Australia’s most internationally toured contemporary circus company, Circa, returns to Brisbane Powerhouse in a world-premiere venue takeover, to close out the 2026 Melt Festival with Show Me Love.
Follow Circa and guest artists through the winding back corridors of Brisbane Powerhouse and witness raw physicality build before you as acrobats test the balance of instinct and control.
Let the bass take over, with music produced and performed by DJ Sveta, as it explodes into a rave: deviant and joyful, crammed with the physical virtuosity Circa is famous for.
Echoing the energy of underground clubs and dancefloors built from community rather than permission, Show Me Love captures the visceral feeling of finding yourself reflected in others.
Created by Yaron Lifschitz and the Circa Ensemble, Show Me Love features guest artists, The Huxleys and VOiiiD Collective, with costume design by Libby McDonnell and music produced and performed by DJ Sveta.
“It is always particularly thrilling to present work in our hometown, and returning to Brisbane Powerhouse, where Circa has such a long and special history, under the artistic directorship of Louise Bezzina makes it all the more meaningful,” said Circa Artistic Director Yaron Lifschitz.
“Show Me Love also gives us the opportunity to revisit and reimagine an earlier work [Show Me Love draws from previous Circa show Peepshow (Club Remix)], taking it in a darker, wilder direction – territory we love to explore.”
“The collaboration with DJ Sveta brings another exciting dimension to the show. Sveta is an incredible talent and an important figure in the community, and I’m excited for the perspective and energy they are bringing to the work.”
“Without a doubt, audiences can expect something dynamic, thrilling and unapologetically joyful, where the power of bass meets the physicality of the human body,” said Lifschitz.
