Hawthorn Arts Centre Dolly DiamondHot on the heels of her two sell-out performances in 2019, the dazzling Dolly Diamond is returning to the grandeur of the Hawthorn Arts Centre for a gala performance with The Jack Earle Big Band on Friday 7 February as part of the 2020 Midsumma Festival.

Fabulously talented and wickedly funny, Dolly Diamond is one of Melbourne’s favourite entertainers who is nothing short of sensational. Accompanied by The Jack Earle Big Band, Dolly will by joined by some special guests including Justin Clausen, Rachel Dunham, Luke Gallagher and Vincent Hooper for an evening of tunes and cheek as they strut out an exuberant line-up of sumptuous sounds.

Audiences can expect to sing along and dance to the likes of Old Black Magic, It’s Not Unusual, Feeling Good, Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend and many other classic hits to get everyone up on their feet.

“I’m thrilled to be working with Jack Earl and his big band for one night not to be missed,” said Dolly Diamond. “We previously performed together at Stonnington Jazz Festival and I was blown away by how amazingly well Jack channels the spirit of classic artists.”

Jack Earle is one of Australia’s finest young musicians who has performed locally, interstate and internationally as a soloist, as well as with his bands The Jack Earle Trio and The Jack Earle Big Band. He’s also well known for working on professional musical theatre shows such as The Lion King and Dream Lover.

The spectacular Hawthorn Arts Centre will be decked out in cabaret style for this memorable evening where music lovers are encouraged to get a group together to join in the glamour.
