Victorian Pride Centre launches LGBTIQA+ Speakers Bureau

Victorian Pride Centre TiPS Program ParticipantsDesigned to connect audiences, organisations, and communities with a group of trained speakers, the Victorian Pride Centre has launched the LGBTIQA+ Speakers Bureau.

An initiative of the Victorian Pride Centre, these speakers will bring a blend of storytelling, focusing on personal lived experiences and professional insights, to a wide range of discussions and opportunities.

The launch of the LGBTIQA+ Speakers Bureau coincided with the Telling it with Pride Speakers (TiPS) Program Showcase, which was held at the Victorian Pride Centre earlier this week.

The TiPS Program was created to empower LGBTIQA+ individuals to share their personal stories with confidence and impact. Through comprehensive training in public speaking and digital storytelling, participants have honed their skills to amplify their voices within the community and inspire social change.

In an evening of powerful storytelling, fostering inclusion, empathy and understanding, the showcase featured impactful speeches and presentations by TiPS Program Graduates – who each shared their lived experiences of being part of the LGBTIQA+ community.

The TiPS Program Graduates for 2024/2025 included Alex Potter, Amber Ryder, Lev Lu, Alicia Herrera, Ezra (Ez) Burnett, Basem Kerbage, Abdurahman Katamish, Quinton Li and Belinda Cassie.

Graduates successfully completed an intensive workshop series led by an exceptional group of community members guest including Dean Arcuri, Erin Vincent, Delsi Cat, Son Vivienne, Fleassy Malay, Trianna Butler and Tathra Street.

The TiPS Program, together with the LGBTIQA+ Speakers Bureau, represents a vital step forward in amplifying LGBTIQA+ voices and promoting greater understanding across Australia.

Whether you’re a school looking to educate students, a company wanting to strengthen its inclusion policies, or a community organisation seeking to elevate a public event, our LGBTIQA+ Speakers Bureau has the right speaker for you. Book a speaker today and bring the power of lived experience into your space.
