Broadway’s greatest hits explode in a glittering high-camp spectacular bursting with jazz, wit, and lashings of showgirl charm, as award-winning cabaret superstar, Skank Sinatra, brings the acclaimed new production Skank Sinatra: The Name on Everybody’s Lips to venues across Australia this Summer.
Created and performed by Jens Radda, Skank Sinatra: The Name on Everybody’s Lips is a bold, high-camp cabaret spectacular that reimagines the Broadway songbook through the lens of drag, jazz and theatrical satire. The production combines powerhouse live vocals, biting comedy and musical theatre classics reworked into a glamorous, irreverent fever dream.
Co-presented by Jens Radda and Theatre Travels, the production is directed and co-created by Carly Fisher, Artistic Director of Qtopia Sydney and founder of Theatre Travels. Fisher’s involvement marks a continuation of her work championing bold, touring cabaret and queer-led performance both nationally and internationally.
“This show is a love letter to musical theatre, filtered through drag chaos,” says Radda. “It’s big, brassy, unapologetic – and absolutely made for festival audiences.”
With reimagined songs from your favourite shows (think Hamilton to The Sound of Music and everything in between), this show promises razzle-dazzle, satire sharper than a Patti LuPone glare and vocals bring enough to bring down the Phantom chandelier.
