The 2024 Broken Heel Festival marks the 30th anniversary of the cinematic release of the Australian cult classic, The Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert, at her spiritual home, The Palace Hotel, and the outback town of Broken Hill.
NSW TrainLink is scheduling the Silver City Stiletto – a special return train service to support the Broken Heel Festival – with an Xplorer train leaving Central for Broken Hill on Thursday 5 September – returning to Sydney on Tuesday 10 September 2024.
The Silver City Stiletto tickets include entertainment onboard with Drag Hosts. Guests can expect Drag Shows, Bingo, Catwalk Comps and more to add to an unforgettable experience.
This Priscilla inspired festival that has been painting the town pink each September since 2015 and continues to garner international attention with its mix of drag , divas and disco in a 5 day event including what could be the biggest regional Mardi Gras parade – as thousands line the main drag in drag to strut their stuff.
This announcement also coincides with the release of the Festivals own Glamping Site – ready to accommodate guests for their adventure. Big Bell Tents with timber beds frames and furnishings, modern amenities on a secured grass oval with transfers to & from the event ensure you can Camp It Up in style ! Queen bed, Twin or Triple options available.
Priscilla sparked a dream of old friends and new… an iconic Aussie landscape with drag, diva’s and disco… and an outfit to boot! … Broken Heel is the celebration at the end of that rainbow!
