Help make your city more inclusive!

People-walking-on-a-rainbow-footpathHave your say about what makes an inclusive space!

An inclusive city is one that mirrors its people. Understanding how different community groups use and contribute to their environment helps city planners to design public spaces that are vibrant, welcoming and safe for all who use them.

Researchers at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) Institute for Sustainable Futures are working with the Greater Cities Commission to find out more about how members of the LGBTQIA+ communities across Greater Sydney, Newcastle and Wollongong engage with their city.

The survey aims to find out more about LGBTQIA+ communities’ sense of belonging and connection to different types of places, their feelings of safety, their opinions and their expressions of self. The survey results will inform local, state and federal government policies and infrastructure that will promote inclusivity.

For more information and to take the survey, visit: www.uts.edu.au for details. Participants will  have the chance to enter a draw to win 1 of 3 $100 Visa gift cards!
