Fountain Lakes in Lockdown: A Drag Parody Play to tour nationally this Spring

AAR-Fountain-Lakes-in-Lockdown-A-Drag-Parody-PlayWant to find out what Australia’s foxiest morons got up to during the pandemic in Fountain Lakes in Lockdown: A Drag Parody Play – the show that hilariously reimagines life in lockdown through the eyes of your favourite Fountain Lakes residents.

Following on from sold-out shows in Melbourne and Geelong earlier this year, this side-splitting night of humour is heading up the east coast throughout September, before returning to Melbourne for an encore season in October.

The original parody, written by award-winning Australian comedian Thomas Jaspers, takes audiences back to August, 2021, or as those unlucky Melbournians call it, lockdown six.

Kath is up to pussy’s bow in sourdough bread, Kim’s been asked to work from home (although that happened years ago) and Sharon has had a severe reaction to all the hand sanitiser.

With appearances from audience favourites including Kel, Brett, Prue, Trude, Lorraine, Michelle, The Daniels Andrews Dancers and even a cameo by a COVID-19 cell, prepare to observe as Fountain Lakes navigate the highs and lows of lockdown life in true Aussie style.

The unprecedented production stars Australian drag royalty Art Simone (RuPaul’s Drag Race Downunder, Have You Been Paying Attention?), award winning comedian Thomas Jaspers (Granny Bingo, The Gays Are Revolting), and fellow Melbourne lockdown survivors Leasa Mann (Club Broadway) and Scott Brennan (skitHOUSE, Comedy Inc., Neighbours).

With seats selling fast, don’t be a fool, get yours toot suite ploise doll. So crack open the Tia Maria and put on some footy franks! This is one fabulous night you won’t want to be o-v-a-h.
