Feast calls for Expressions of Interest for 2016 Festival

Feast Festival LogoFeast Festival, Adelaide’s annual LGBTIQ Arts and Cultural Festival is calling for Expressions of Interest from artists, performers and cultural creatives for their 2016 Festival.

The 2015 Feast Festival was a huge success with international superstar Conchita Wurst headlining, and a multitude of interstate and local artists participating, which saw over 48,000 people attend events across the 3 weekends.

Feast presents artistically excellent, ground-breaking art projects involving LGBTIQ artists and allies from a diverse range of experiences and backgrounds. With the substantial growth and increased Festival visibility in 2015 we are seeking emerging, mid-career and established artists to join us to continue the celebration of queer art and culture in 2016.

“2015 utilised an improved artist registration and development model under the guidance of Artistic Ambassador, Michael Griffiths, that enabled artists to maximise their exposure and boost ticket sales,” said Feast Festival Chair, Joshua Rayner. “We are confident that this model will work again for 2016 and invite more people to participate in such a wonderful Festival that celebrates diversity, inclusivity and pride.”

The closing date for Expressions of Interest is earlier than previous years, due to the Festival dates being moved forward, minimising disruption to patrons attending Feast, ahead of the busy end of year period. Expressions of Interest are now open, and close Monday 25th April 2016.
