Brisbane Pride is proud to announce the launch of its 2026 Community Grants Program, supporting grassroots efforts that uplift, empower, and celebrate Queensland’s LGBTQIA+ communities.
Applications for both the Brisbane Pride Community Grants and the Queensland Pride Grants are now open and will close on 16 August July 2026.
Established in 2010, the Brisbane Pride Community Grants continue a legacy of inclusion, equity, and community empowerment.
In 2026, Brisbane Pride Inc will allocate $10,000 in total funding, offering up to $2,000 per applicant to eligible community groups, associations, and committees across Queensland for the Community Grants Program. Grant-funded projects must demonstrate lasting benefit to the community and fall within the following priority areas:
- Community
- Education, awareness, and advocacy
- Health •
- First Nations
- Youth
Applicants must also demonstrate how their project will enhance community operations, improve organisational capability, and be located within Queensland.
Aligned with the Brisbane Pride Strategy 2025–2028, this year’s grants program is more than a funding opportunity, it’s a reflection of a long-term commitment to amplifying LGBTQIA+ voices and supporting the well-being of every member of the community.
In addition to the community grants, Brisbane Pride is excited to deliver its Queensland Pride Grants, delivered with funding from the Queensland Government. These grants support the creation of events and initiatives co-designed by and for LGBTQIA+ individuals, families, and communities throughout Queensland.
Through this initiative, local communities are empowered to create safe, inclusive, and visible spaces that promote equality and well-being. These grants are awarded to regional and remote Pride organisations to help fund and facilitate their events within their communities.
