Australian Lesbian and Gay Archives Thesis Prize 2015

Rainbow capsFor a number of years, the Australian Lesbian and Gay Archives (ALGA) has offered a prize for the best fourth year thesis submitted at an Australian University in the field of GLBTI studies. ALGA are now calling for submissions for 2015.

The thesis should be approximately 10,000 words (honours level or equivalent) and maybe in any discipline and must have as its major concern, some aspect of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, intersex and/or queer experience, contemporary or historical, in Australia.

Submissions will be received up to 1 December 2015. Though late submissions may be accepted by arrangement. Work submitted at an overseas university that meets the criteria will also be accepted for consideration. Theses will be retained by the Archives and will become part of its collection.

The winner will be announced March 2016, and will win a prize of $250 cash and a 1 year membership of the Australian Lesbian and Gay Archives. To nominate a piece of work, send a single printed copy (preferably bound) to:
