Running from 12 – 14 March, the much anticipated 2021 fabALICE Festival program of events has been released.
The main event for this year will see the fabALICE Carnivale held at the Alice Springs Desert Park. Come for a fabulous night of Drag, Cabaret, dancing and much more under the stars – with a fresh new look for this year’s main event, organisers are excited to announce this year’s Faaabblous entertainment line-up.
Headlined by Adam Thompson and Band. Adam is best known as the iconic front man of Australia rock band, Chocolate Starfish. With over 30 years in the entertainment industry under his belt, Adam is currently enjoying the most successful period of his career, selling out theatres throughout Australia and dazzling audiences with his celebration of his music hero, Freddie Mercury, and Queen.

Territory Drag Queen Royalty returns to the Alice with Marzi Panne and Miss Ellaneous back to keep you all entertained and on the dancefloor with their dazzling and edgy performances. fabALICE ambassador Marzi Panne can’t wait to return. “I’m So thrilled to be returning to fabALICE,” said Marzi Panne.
“Being with this fun festival since its infancy has been a wonderful experience and Alice Springs has become one of my absolute favourite towns in Australia. The team have done am amazing job to put the Festival on in such a tumultuous time. We are really excited to see the program unfold and can’t wait to be back in Alice preforming soon”
It wouldn’t be a FABalice Festival without the seriously talented Drag Queens from Drag Territory! Vogue Mega queen, Ferocia Coutura & Prawn Cracker Spice return with their vibrant, fun, and highly entertaining performances. Vogue Mega Queen is encouraging everyone to come and join in the fun at this year’s Festival.
“Get ready Alice we are coming back to tear up the stage, leave a trail of feathers and sequins down the famous Todd Mall at fabALICE 2021,” said Vogue Mega Queen. “Don’t just stand there, let’s get to it, strike a pose and grab your festival tickets. Vogue, Ferocia and Prawn can’t wait to hit the stage with a handbag full of fabulous new shows”.
This year’s fabALICE program sees a wider variety of events included, aimed at broadening the audience for the Festival. “We have worked hard on widening our events to ensure there is something there for everyone,” said Event Manager Dale McIver.
“We are connecting with a number of local business’ for them to host fabALICE Festival partner events. These will be run by the individual business and have the fabALICE feel to them, it has been great to have so much support.”
This year’s program includes:
• fabALICE Street Carnival in Todd Mall on Friday 12 March including Drag Queen performances and a screening of Priscilla Queen of the Desert
• fabALICE Carnivale under the stars at the Alice Springs Desert Park featuring Adam Thompson & Band, Drag Queen performances and local act the Desert Diamonds
• DI-VER-CITY Festival is an all-ages celebration of inclusivity and a safe space for self-expression
• Drag Queen Story time, a Lip Sync Battle competition, a community Rainbow flag raising ceremony, Carnivale after party, Drag Queen Bingo, pool party and DJ and Screenings at the Alice Springs cinema featuring Bohemian Rhapsody & Ellie & Abbey.
