Celebrating the strength and diversity of Victoria’s LGBTI community, GLOBE Melbourne has announced the Award Winners of the sixth annual GLOBE Community Awards held on Friday 11 October 2019 at the Plaza Ballroom, Melbourne
Dr Judy Tang won the GLOBE LGBTI Person of the Year for contributions and work she does in advocating for multicultural communities, older adults, and LGBTIQ. Judy is a Neuroscientist and the President of the Australian GLBTIQ Multicultural Council (AGMC).
Dr Tang is also the National Convener of the Australian Psychology Society (APS) Psychology and Cultures Interest Group, the State Convener of the APS Psychology and Ageing Interest Group, and Secretary for the Australian Association of Gerontology (AAG) Victoria.
“We are incredibly proud of all GLOBE Community Awards winners for 2019,” said GLOBE President, Dan de Rochefort. “Celebrating and recognising the achievements and dedicated work of Victoria’s LGBTI community is at the heart of what we do.
