Hidden Sydney – The Glittering Mile is an immersive, exhilarating and witty cabaret experience set over 4 floors of The Nevada, the former Sydney brothel which once boasted the biggest bed in the world.

Kings Cross is a state of mind. No boundaries to its name, no limits to its life. But half a century later, has the Cross been crossed out? Quick-witted bouncers, madams of the night, drag queens, crooks, entertainers and eccentrics alike relive the world of the Cross during the 50s, 60s and 70s.

Set over four floors within an old heritage listed Victorian terrace house, former brothel and club, the experience moves through a series of rooms (each room contains a different narrative and storyboard). Immerse yourself in the stories of Bea Miles, Abe Saffron, Roie The Witch, Standover Jim and the iconic Les Girls.

Rub shoulders with the crims and crooks of the day, and finish up with last drinks at the Chevron Silver Spade. A 25 – 30 minute cabaret scene, introducing several famous acts, accompanied by the Silver Spade Orchestra – who played The Spade during the hotel’s operation between 1960 – 1981.

Directed by Lucas Jervies and written by Trevor Ashley, Benito Di Fonzo, Nikki Britton, Ray Badran and Ben Fink, Hidden Sydney is sure to be a spectacle, a singular experience. Performed by a cast of 16 performers, actors, artists, and musicians, including Christa Hughes, Virginia Gay, and Rob Mills – just to name a few…
